I met my wife, the former Vesta Owens, in high school. We dated through high school and we both attended the University of Georgia. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and I was a Sigma Chi. We married in 1971. We have three children, Lucy, Stuart and Ashley. They are all married and have provided us with six adorable grandchildren. Archer, Winnie and Meg (Lucy), Macsen and Millie (Stuart) and Maggie Mae (Ashley). They are the love of our lives and make us realize that raising children has its rewards.
