Atlanta’s TMD and TMJ Treatment Specialist

Dr. David G. Jones is a native of Atlanta. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in history. Dr. Jones attended Emory University’s School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1974. He served as a captain in the United States Air Force before establishing a restorative practice in Buckhead in 1976. He sold his practice in 2000 and in 2004 he joined Oral Surgery Associates as their specialist in TMD and Orofacial Pain.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association and the American Equilibration Society. He is a graduate of the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies, The L. D. Pankey Institute and the Piper Educational & Research Center. Dr. Jones also completed a mini-residency in TMD and Orofacial Pain at the University of Florida, under the direction of Dr. Henry Gremillion.

Dr. Jones’ advanced knowledge of TMJ related problems along with having one of his children suffer from this debilitating condition, has given him a unique perspective in which he is not only sympathetic with the patients needs, but empathetic as well. His ability to diagnosis as well as to conservatively treat head and neck problems has made him a leader in this field in the greater Atlanta area.
